This schematic map of the site shows how the two trails,
one ceremonial, and one a hiking trail, depart from the
trail contact station located approximately 1,000 feet
below the summit. The trails rejoin each other at the
trail junction station, from where a single trail leads
on to the summit at an elevation of 4,426 feet. Both
trails are open to everyone, but cautionary notices are
posted reminding visitors not to leave the ceremonial
trail. People who come to the site for religious
ceremonies usually go to the ceremonial campground noted
on the map. Here they may set up camp from which they
move out onto the mount for religious purposes. This
campground is set aside for those who come to the
mountain for religious purposes.
